The Founding of HousingandHealthcare.com Our founder, Mark A. Smith P.T., has been working in the field of physical therapy for over 12 years. Mark’s treatment approach has always encompassed the entire patient, including their family and friends. Over the years, the need to assist families with our Elders and Seniors has become so great, the information so wide spread, that in April of 2007, Mark embarked on the journey that has resulted in HousingandHealthcare.com. Gathering a small group of very experienced healthcare workers, social workers, patients, and family members, he began an advisory board to determine the structure and purpose of Housingandhealthcare.com. With the mission to create a web-based resource to assist patients, families, and caregivers with needs of our Elders and Seniors; HousingandHealthcare.com was born. The Goal of HousingandHealthcare.com HousingandHealthcare.com goal is to “create compassion through education.” The aging process is a serious of transitions and changes. Some are easy, others very hard and complex. When an individual begins to loose their independence, it can be a frightening and frustrating event. The thought of strangers coming into our homes, can be scary. When it is time to decide that one can’t live in their own home anymore, well that is why we created Housingandhealthcare.com. At HousingandHealthcare.com we pride ourselves in providing the information you need to make these choices.
